1995

Mpho Feni (b. 1995) lives and works in Cape Town. In 2020 he graduated from the of Cape Peninsula University of Technology with an advanced diploma in Public Administration.  Freed from family expectations and pressure, he chose to pursue his first love, art, and dedicated all his time and resources to painting. Soon after he had his first solo exhibition, aptly titled Chulumanco, a Xhosa word that refers to a form of happiness. Feni's work draws inspiration from his cultural heritage, family and daily interactions. His artistic style is characterized by vibrant colours and a focus on the human form, often capturing the essence of celebratory moments.
